Ok, so Mommy has been really busy with school that last three weeks, so she hasn't had much time to post pictures of us, but here is what we have done so far this summer (on the few days that is has been nice and moomy hasn't been in school). (The pictures are backwards...so please excuse me)Yesterday Mommy and Daddy took me, NYa, and Malachi to McDowell damn to go swimming and fishing in the afternoon. It was really fun, we packed a picnic lunch and had a great day. Nya wasn't sure about the water at first, but I think she had a good time. Mommy got really tired of trying to stop her from eating the sand...I am pretty sure she got some despite Mommy's effort!
While Malachi and Daddy were fishing, Nya and I played together on the blanket and in the sand. Then Mommy gave us a snack. It was the most quite we were the whole day!
As soon as I spotted my Daddy fishing I ran over toward him so that I could tell him to come back and help Mommy, I think she was getting a little tired to chasing me and watching Nya too. Good thing Daddy is such a good listener, because he came right back and we all played some more.
Malachi is really brave and he swam all of the way to the ropes. I don't think that I could do that because I don't like it when the seaweed touches my feet. He doesn't seem to mind. Good job Malachi!!
Here we are trying to fill my big bucket full of sand. It took me the whole day to get it full, I even had to make some friends to help me with it. Maybe if I didn't have the attention span of an ant I would have been able to get it done faster. Oh well, I must have gotten that from Mommy.
A couple of days before our family day, we got to practice in the back yard in my birthday pool. It was really fun. Nya wasn't sure about it at first but she liked it after she got used to it. At least untill I slid down the slide and knocked her over into the water. She wasnted out after that.
We took a family walk to the old earth mounds above the river to look at the flooding. I was fun, but the bugs kept biting me. I think I have the sweet blood that my Daddy has. Nya liked it too, she got to walk but she is scared to put her toes in the grass so Mommy carried her most of the way.
Here we all are at the top of the hill, Daddy was taking the picture, What a nice day!!
On the first nice day Mommy let us set up the little pool. I thought it was so fun that I jumped in with my clothes on, even though I was supposed to be just splashing around.
Nya followed me right in...shoes and all. I guess she wants to be like me.
Here we are enjoying the sunshine and cold water.
